Two games I made so far and twice broke the game by this bug. In the first game i controlled the game and my opponent had no chance to recover the ball - crash in turn 14 I think. Second game, my opponent and I delivered a perfect DB-game very exciting and no one was in a really good position - turn 16 Crash. Both games are lost for me. No Experience, no money. Statistics are nice, but with those bugs senseless, as well playing the game before next week, when the bug (hopefully!!!) is fixed. I expected a super game, and it could be it, but I won´t touch the game until this bug is fixed. Thanks for the pre-order-privilege.

Whilst this bug does detract from the enjoyment of the game, and has cost me a couple of sure victories, the game is still fun. What's more, it cost about the same as a ticket to the movies, and I've had more than 2 hours of enjoyment from it.

Back to the bug at hand - I have a theory, but haven't had another chance to test yet. I recall the last loss happened to me when I've used up all my moves for the turn, and the last action was an auto-resolution in my favour. For example, I have moved all players, performed my blitz, and the last action is a block. The block is Defender Down (or stumbles, or both down) and the opposing player is knocked down. This ends the turn, but also seemed to award the win to the opponent.

Can anyone check if this happens for them as well?

I need to check to confirm but if you have a look at my bug thread with the Doomroller, I think it was my last move that turn, blitzed the player and he did go down. Whether it was a block I can;t say atm, but it did end up awarding the other player the win.

I'll keep an eye out for this the next time it appears.

In the french section, some players noticed this bug could be related to spectator mode : they were watching a game (one far from being over), they quit... and found that the match was over. If some people want to test.

This makes total sense - if I quit out of a match I am spectating with Menu -> Abandon Match it usually shows the end game sequence. I thought it was just ending the spectator mode. On relflection, it's probably ending it for everyone!

This would be a simple thing for three people to test in-game.

I have confirmed that it happens reliably under the following conditions:
- Team A has control of the ball
- Team A has moved all but 1 of their players
- Team A's last player performs an action with an automatic resolution that does NOT cause a turnover.
+ Examples:
+ Perform a successful block
+ Perform a successful blitz
+ Perform a successful pass
+ Fail a Wild Animal or Bone Head roll
+ Any action that does not require the player to hit "End Turn" after it, and does not cause a turnover.

This will result in the turn ending, and Team B being awarded the victory, both MVPs and both lots of winnings (not 100% sure about winnings as I can't see where winnings are stated in match summary).

The key to avoid the bug is to have your last player only move or perform an action that if successful doesn't end your turn automatically (open a chest, pick up a ball, etc)

I had this concern too when I spectated on a couple of games yesterday.

The way to test this is to see if the bug occurs in hot-seat mode - if it does then it's due to more than just spectators quitting. Once my computers finished with it's defragging I'll have a play around, following Rogue's suggestions, see if it's replicable away from online spectators.

I think the "spectator quitting" idea deserves further exploration. Of the 3 times this bug happened to me, 2 were at the end of the match, when the TD was certain next turn. It would have been the time I would have quit had I been a spectator...

Well, I tried for 20 turns to replicate the bug in hot-seat - using Rogue's suggested causes. I couldn't replicate it, but absence of proof isn't proof of absence, and it might be that there's a interaction between this kind of turn end and the online connection which cause trouble.

I played in MM and had several times when my turn ended with a sucessful (or unsuccessful but no turnover) block and didn't have any premature end.
I think the "leaving spectators" theory has the edge (which would explain the bug not being seen in hotseat)
