HELP!!!! i cant make an account

When i try to play online and create an account it says invalid: user name i have bought the game through steam can anyone help me.

I had a similar problem when I first bought this game and simply had to pick a different name then what I actually wanted? Prolly not the most help but worked for me...hope you get it working we need all the players we can get
