Player(s) missing from the deployment list at match start

PostSat Jul 21, 2012 8:32 am

When a match starts, there's a list of your availabe players on the right. You can pick six of your players to place in your starting squares. This list is buggy.

If you have a player or players missing this match (MNG injured) the list will not show as many players as you actually have available. The amount will be reduced by the number of MNG players.

Let's say you originally had 11 players. One is MNG injured. You buy a replacement. Your total number of players is now 12, one of which will not be playing in the next match. When it starts, you can only select from 10 players at the start-up phase. One is not on the list or on the pitch. (He will appear after the match starts, he's not missing for the whole match.)

The same bug happens when you have journeymen automatically added to your team because you have under 11 available. The selection list will be missing the same number of players as you have journeymen (I think, I'm not 100% sure of the number, needs more testing).

This same bug has been around since Blood Bowl. It seems the code builds or iterates through the player array wrong or the player pointers are/get corrupted and rejected or some similar issue. Please fix this!

Have you given up and stopped looking at this as it's so old? I really hope it's not so that the code involved is by now beyond human understanding or redemption and you don't have the resources to rewrite it. Sorry if that 's blunt but we're rather concerned here about the long-term viability of the franchise because of issues like this.
