That's great news! Hopefully Dungeonbowl will now get the sales it deserves as all those who have been holding off for single player content can now go on and buy the game.

Could you please elaborate on what online single player means? How does that mix with the current online multiplayer? Are they totally separate systems?

Hi Reed!
To answer your question, you will now be able to play online against bots. This means that when joinning the online lobby, you will see other players but if you want, you will be able to play with the bots.
By playing versus the bots, you will be rewarded just like if you were playing against another player with experience, levels and money to hire new players in your team!
This will help you in your team customization and train you for the upcoming matches against real players!
There is only one online game mode, but it's up to you to choose if you want to fight against bots or players to upgrade you multiplayer team.
It have been made for people who enjoy playing against bots to do not stop them from grinding their awesome teams or make them kind of waste their invested time in the game because they play against bots.
Just to let them enjoy the game the way they want.

Thanks for the info!

Can the same team play against both other humans and the bots? Could I create a new team, play against bots a few matches, then play against human opponents, then again against bots, all with the same team?

Of course the same team can play against both human and bots, it just depends on your mood :)
Do you feel more like crushing Computers AI today or making real humans rage while you score a Touchdown ? :p
You don't necessarily need to create a new team to do so, you can play with your existing teams against bots, it's up to you.

Allowing the same teams to play against both bots and humans is problematic. Unless you are the best AI creators in the world, it will be easy to farm the bots for wins and SPPs. This will mean humans will increasingly have to face perfectly farmed teams when trying to play matchmaking multiplayer. Teams where every player has +ST and/or +AG etc.

The only thing which might limit this is if anyone can even be bothered to do that any more. The unpopularity of the game might save it from the worst excesses. People being what they are, though, I wouldn't rely on that alone. It would be best if there was a separate league for teams which have played against bots. In other words, there should be a humans-only league. This would still allow playing against both but those who don't want to deal with farmed superhero teams could keep doing so.

Hi there,

There al little mistake in what Darkarash said so I'm going to clarify the situation.

Only the team that are not ranked will be able to play against AI. This in order to preserve a fair ranking and to avoid farming versus AI.
You'll be able to play versus AI with your other teams in order to train or to have a team that you can use to play friendly matches.
