You don't have to try, you have to sucess. Easy, remove the death roller, and only 2 Big Guys per team.

Apparently they can't do that. I guess GW allowed them to switch around primary/secondary race and such, but not the race-rooster itself. Would make sense for the brits, thinking of their other decision over the last years.

What I do wonder, however: Is Cyanide allowed/willing to create new colleges? Purely hypothetical speaking, of course. In some far away future.

Well, they were allowed to make a Khorne demon team...

As I've expressed previously, I'm really curious to know how much communication goes on between Cyanide and GW. Have they really explored these options, or are they just avoiding conflict? It's really hard to believe that turning the Deathroller into a Star Player would be that contentious.

GW is just an excuse.

GW know nothing about BBowl and DBowl, they don't have read the rules...

GW closed down the BB committee which put together the CRP (and previous living rulebooks) over IP issues (basically they were worried that the committee would eventually have a better claim to the BB intellectual property than GW). Unless there's been a culture change at GW I'd expect that they're keeping a similar eye on cyanide's developments - I doubt that they'll allow any changes to elements which are core to bloodbowl, so changes such as making the death roller a star player again are unlikely. Instead I reckon we're just going to see cyanide tweaking the edges of the ruleset - minor adjustments to team orders, and drawing up house rules for situations which aren't covered in the rules essay.

That said, cyanide have said that they might add extra colleges in order to allow them to add more of the new races to the game. Which is a fairly big change for the game setting (IIRC it's pretty clear in the warhammer world that there's only 10 colleges of magic in the empire), but again won't impact on the core BB elements so might be more acceptable to GW.

You can. You can't afford to start with such a roster, of course.

You can actually afford it monetarily, but can you afford it if you like to win? No block anywhere and no ball handling skills combined with four unreliable players makes for very tricky games, even if all four are ST5. Maybe someone will try it out soon!

Minotaur 150
Ogre 3 x 140 = 420
Lineman 4 x 50 = 200
Beastman 3 x 60 = 180
Reroll 50
Total TV = 1000

Or lose the reroll and pick a 12th player, Lineman.
