I think Amazons - Lizardmen - Skaven would fit better, fluff wise. Or Amazon - Norse - Chaos, since they pretty much originate from the same corner of the world.
But apart from that:
Yes, I REALLY would love to see some different team-compositions from what I've seen in the ruleset so far. The Celestial Wizards, for example, strike me as rather... unfit for most dungeons. You can be as dodgy, agile and skilled as you want, but those three dwarves runnig down the narrow corridor shoulder on shoulder won't be all that much impressed by it. Shure, some dungeons allow for quite fascinating routes, espcially when incorporating the teleporters, but most are pretty straigth forward after the ball has been found.

There are no Skaven in the New World, and the Lizardmen and Skaven hate each others guts. That, and I think there'd be more people who would like to add a couple of Witch Elves to their Amazon team than a couple of rats.

Incorrect - Chaos and Norse are from the North (Chaos Wastes and Norsca), Amazons are ffrom the South (Lustria).

Wrong - Lustria is where the Plague Monks originated from, before they moved back to the Olde Worlde.

(I unfortunately do not know much of the lore. I do know that both Amazon and Lizards are from Lustria so they seem to be a natural fit. Also, aren't lizards very anti-chaos? I seem to remember someone mentioning lizards with mutations and they got debunked pretty hard on the BB forums.)

well in lustria you have lizardmen, slaan, plaguemonks (skaven), vampires, norse (skeggi), amazons and high elves

OK, time to show just how old I am...

There are indeed Norse in Lustria. It's a nod to the historical Vikings who reached Newfoundland. There has been mention of their Lustrian settlements since the 2nd edition of Warhammer at least (the introductory scenario for 2nd edition, "The Magnificent Sven" was set in Lustria and was a tongue-in-cheek reference to "the magnificent Seven" including Dwarves and Norse and with the Slann as adversaries).

Apart from the factions mentioned by katadder, in Lustria there are Dark Elf and Chaos raiders, Imperial settlers (with even more Dorfs and additional Fling sidekicks, presumably), Tileans and whatnot. Also, there are Slann and Lizardmen in the Southlands, equivalent to Tropical and Equatorial Africa, and they used to play BB with Nehekharans (as the LBR5 says), so it would not be inconceivable to have a Lizardmen/Khemri team-up.

Lizardmen are sworn enemies of Chaos, so even if one takes liberties with the fluff (the old "this is not Warhammer!" saw) mixing both races would be too weird. Amazons+Lizzies+Norse/Slann (in the unlikely case they're ever introduced) would work pretty well.
