But we have to bring in Games Workshop in this kind of speak. We cannot modify their current rules without talking about it with them first. That does not mean they do not want to change them, on the contrary, it is possible to debate with them (and quite easier on Dungeonbowl than it is on Blood Bowl).

There were some nice proposals on the french forum too. We will analyze this and come up with something, but it should take some time. :)

positions? what others are you talking of please?

nice proposals? like what? other than what has been suggested here?

and thanks for looking into it :D

Here is a suggestion from The King Lorcan :

Secret Weapons : If you roll a double for the "armor" OR the "injury" roll, your player is send off.

Like for the fouling. The skill "Sneaky Git" apply.

Never thought I'd defend the Roller (in BB anyway), but this!

If you're bum-rushing the Roller you're just playing poorly IMO. It's what, MA 4 IIRC? Slow as an uneducated Troll anyway, it takes about 7 turns for the thing to even get to a dangerous range most of the time - really it's biggest use is as a roadblock on the defensive, and even then it can be circumvented when it's support crumbles.

I started a team with a Roller today and although it helped secure the ball for me early on, my opponent had a Roller too and it really didn't do anything to hinder my plans.

Well 2 teams have a deathroller and the one that doesn't has 2 wardancers.

Look at the rankings table and you will notice that Rainbow guys are not unduly hampered by their wardancers!

It is very map dependent. On maps with a narrow entry into the endzone, the roller with Guard, plus a couple of blockers with guard, will effectively roadblock the entrance for anyone without leap. ST9 (effective) is hard to beat with anything less than another roller plus supporting players with guard.

Find some of those maps with obstructions in the path to the endzone, and you can find locations where it is impossible to get anything better than a -2D block on the roller, and if you're lucky, a 1D block on the support. If that support has Stand Firm (becoming far more popular), then you're not getting through without a KO or CAS.

There are ways to deal with the roller in the open, but used defensively, it can effectively roadblock the endzone for 25 turns, giving the auto-win to the defensive team (numbers permitting).

In other words: It over preforms for it's cost.

Calling out the DR for being unbalanced and in need of changes is NOT a claim that fighting against a DR is impossible. This is BB, you can win with all Halflings! It is the claim that for it's 160 TV, it utterly out-preforms it's BB equivalent AND other units at similar cost. Either all Big Guys should have their nega-skills removed like the DR has, or put one on the DR. The DR did not need this massive buff.

Please just to show you :

the top 10 team are for the moment :
5 Bright Wizards
2 Lights Wizards
3 Rainbows Wizards

6 teams have a death roller, and 4 of them are human. So now, tell me why human can have a deathroller ? Where it is shown on the game rules that the Bright Wizards can have a deathroller? :| , and why Games Workshop gave you the permission to create the Bright Wizard like this ? The Bright Wizard should be Dwarf 0-16, human 0-6, norse 0-2....

Please, i beg you... Do something admin, i'm realling bored to play against the turtleroller (turtle, and deathroller in front of it killing everything, so impossible to stop, and impossible to break...) :( :?

And why other players doesn't have any shame to play with it? It is like using a 'bug'...
