So, as the title says, we are delaying the release of the new Colleges (Jade and Grey). We know that you are looking forward to playing Goblins in a dungeon (who wouldn't?) and to see different teams. But we noticed a major bug on the Goblin Fanatic yesterday.

Thus, we decided to take one more week to fix those problems and deliver two fully functionnal teams rather than releasing incomplete rosters right away and finish them later.

On behalf of the Cyanide team, we are really sorry to announce this so late. But this decision seems the wisest. The new teams will be available at the end of next week.

maybe you should have released Amethyst or Amber Wizards instead and not a team that had more unknown elements

maybe you are also holding off release so you can put it on steam (then i can continue to give them out to players)

meh but i am just a paying costumer so i dont count

Remove the Fanatic and add it after you correct the bug.

Or release Skaven

Dammit - that means I'll have to wait an extra 3 weeks as I'm off on holiday end of next week

But, I guess the wait will be worth it if it means there's less bugs on the interesting players.

As a side question - can you tell us how you're going to treat fanatic collisions with walls? Will they just stop where they are, bounce, or get injured?

Two questions:

1) As Coach Jester was asking, are any of the DLCs eventually going to be on Steam? Or is the price structure of the DLCs preventing that? (Just curious) The reason I ask is that I (and my brother) have had problems purchasing from the us-cyanide.gamesplanet.com/shop/dungeon-bowl store and had to communicate with the Customer Reps a large number of times. It seems like the transaction security from their side is extremely picky and rejects transactions too easily. ("Shut up and take my money!" )

2) Any approximate timeline on the frequency of the DLCs? (Not considering bug fixes, etc.)

I think I read somewhere that they won't be able to sell it on steam, but you should be able to activate it with a steam-version of the game (propably something their customer service will do on their side of the game servers, and not on steam's like common DLC).

So you buy the DLC direct from Cyanide even if you bought the game from Steam and the DLC will work with your Steam game. Obviously, it will work with a game bought directly from Cyanide.

The in-game start-up screen button "Additional Content" leads to a screen with a "Shop" button and that button opens a web browser to the address http://www.cyanide-studio.com/.

When you click through a few screens and links you end up on the page http://store.cyanide-studio.com/dungeonbowl/ which Jolly gave above (this link will redirect to http://eu-cyanide.gamesplanet.com/shop/dungeon-bowl in Europe and http://us-cyanide.gamesplanet.com/shop/dungeon-bowl in America).

So, long story short:
If you are on Steam, to buy the DLC, go to http://store.cyanide-studio.com/dungeonbowl/. It will work.

though i love the game Cyanide seem to be very incompetent at not only making a working game but also in how they deal with the public... when i got the game it wouldn't even start... did Cyanide fix my problem? no (they did try though i give them that) it was a member of the public with a post on the forums
now they want me to give credit card details to them... um no... sorry but just dont trust not only your security but also if it not work i wont get my money back

That would be because I wasn't commenting on your message or issues of trust, but the availability of DLC on Steam.

I have had no issues with my direct purchase of Dungeonbowl from Cyanide. I have been buying stuff from all over the world through mail and over the Internet with my credit card, starting in 1989. I have never had an issue where my card details would have ended up in wrong hands or where they would have been used to steal money from me.

I've bought from dozens and dozens of different shops, many of which were a lot smaller and unknown quantities than Cyanide. I've never had a problem with money related to my credit card. I'm still using the same card number I got in 1989.

Sharing your card details is not the big deal it is often made out to be. Besides, if there's a problem, a call to your credit card company takes care of it. You can just refuse a charge if it's not OK. I once accidentally subscribed to a magazine twice and was charged twice. When I got the credit card invoice, I called my credit card company and asked them to not pay the second charge (of course, I also informed the magazine publisher). What did the credit company say to this? They said: "OK. It has been taken care of." No questions asked.

Of course, I'm aware of the large scale credit card number thefts that have sometimes happened when a company, big or small, was hacked. Nothing you can do about that. No reason to let that rule your online purchasing habits. Just a feature of the online landscape by now. I refuse to live (or shop) in fear or let that kind of stuff decide where I buy stuff.

I understand your viewpoint, though. It's just that in my experience the online shopping situation is not so bad in actual practise. Your mileage may vary, of course. In life and in Dungeonbowl, it pays to be lucky.
