First community dungeons officialised !

PostThu Aug 02, 2012 11:13 am

Next week will see the release of a new environement kit for the Dungeonbowl dungeon editor.

On this occasion, we'll take one or two dungeons of the community and put it into the official dungeons list. So they will be available for the matchmaking.
We'll choose the ones which have the best user scores, and correspond the most to the team choice as well.

To equilibrate the number of official dungeons, each time we'll add a new official map, we will also remove some of the Cyanide official dungeons that don't have a great score.

So it's is in your hands now, vote for your favorite creations to see it in the official dungeons list!!!

Cyanide, Jolly, don't remove any of the official dungeons. variety is everything, the more maps the better.

For everyone, please take a look at the maps Asylum and Tomb. Like them if you do. I think both would be great matchmakers. They are polished with care for visual detail as well.

I have a feeling that the next matchmaker will be decided by who has the most friends playing DB. Maybe you Cyanide should select some of the good usermade maps subjectively as well.

What Bucc said. Please don't remove any of the dungeons that are already available. The game thrives on having as many dungeons to choose from as possible.

Also, there are many excellent community-created dungeons already. One or two additions do not do justice to these guys' collective effort. If it were up to me, I'd add a dozen maps, at least

agreed, leave all dungeons in. just add some more. its not like its too much work I am sure, the dungeons have been designed so add 10 more, or double what you have currently

Disagree strongly, as Outreach is bound to be on the removal list. Maybe just make it so that any map receiving 70% negative votes is removed or something like that.

If it wasn't for Outreach, I'd probably agree that variety is for the best.

outreach is ok, even my elves have won on it, especially with sidestep. make the bashy teams fight you on the ledges and see that deathroller fall (whilst waisting rerolls with loner).
the more maps the less likely you are to get outreach anyway. so leave em all in, just add a load more

OK, well, we'll only remove the dungeons that have a really bad score. In the begining, we can keep all the existing dungeons but when the number of official dungeons will grow up too much we'll start to remove the less interesting ones.
We'll officialise the first ones next week but our goal is to do it regurlarly to reward the best architects.
