Game won't start - after videos game shuts down

i have same problem
the vid starts then it crashes to desktop
if i skip the vid it crashes to desktop

Me also, done as others have suggested and tried the file swap- all drivers are up to date and the pc meets the system specs.

As an update to the crashes after the opening video, I looked elsewhere on the forums and found some advice about editing the config.xml.

Changing <Fullscreen>0</Fullscreen> to <Fullscreen>1</Fullscreen>

solved my problem, game works fine for me now, hope this helps for others.

The fullscreen tag is found within Options.xml for me. There are several actually in there. I changed them all to FullScreen = 1 in the xml file (<Fullscreen>1</Fullscreen>) and the result does not change.

It still loads the intro videos up and then kicks out to desktop.

I am running a GTS 450 video card and the drivers are up to date as well.

and not where i first looked at C: program files //steam//steamapps//common// dungeonbowl

Thanks for that tip, that fixed the issue. I edited the wrong xml file. The one you want to edit is indeed in the my documents folder...
