From the moment that Cyanide has ruled that a DB coach can only have 2 ST5 BG per team the definition of what exactly is a BG is of the utmost relevancy.

That the Fanatic count for 5+ strong players is not a problem because when the skill "Secret Weapon" been implemented for settled problem of Death Roller nobody will played him. :lol:

That depends whether you mean the proper Secret Weapon rule, or one of the suggestions on the forum.
If it's the proper one, then it's pointless, as it won't make any difference.
I'd love to play Blood Bowl on the PC, but I want a FULL version, not some bugged, incomplete one.

1/ Everytime they throw a block, use chainsaw, throw a bomb, use Ave Maria pass (for the bazooka) etc roll a d6, on a 1 they are send off.

2/ If you roll a double for the "armor" OR the "injury" roll, your player is send off.. (works for block, the bomb, chainsaw, tackle ?, not for hail Marie pass with the bazooka)

3/ After 8 turn on the pitch, remove the secret weapon. (Corruption => 8 more turns)

4/ Rise the cost by 25%-100%


NB : Secret Weapon, you can't return on the field after beeing out. (KO,Injury, Trap etc...)

Maybe I miss some solution. In my opinion, 4/ is not a good one.

IMHO it should be a combination of 3) and 4).
1 + 2 would be new game mechanics.

3) Would be the same like in BB - expect that normaly in BB the Opponent has the chance to score earlier -> ejecting the SW before turn 8 if he wants to (and to be honest - against a DR thats normaly a valid strategy). To score in (for example) 4 turns is normaly more than impossible when receiving with a fast team.

In DB - even with a very fast team like rainbow - its nearly impossible to score in 8 or less turns. So the SW (if rule 3 is implemented like suggested) is STILL stronger in DB then in BB. And I dont even started to discuss the raised tactical value due to the small corridors. So I would suggest to make the SW more expansive as well (rule 4) to counter that imbalance (50% if rule 3 is implemented, 100% if not).

I don't like the idea of teleporting it out. I say double the value of the Deathroller only, and in addition: make all the Secret Weapons begin the game in the endzone, and don't allow them to teleport in once removed (unless they use a bribe, assuming you can program that).

It's probably too little and too late, whatever you do. I might come back for the new colleges, but am just as likely to never play again. You blew it with the DLC, it would habe been a hundred times more fun if all the teams were in from the beginning.

I doubt they would change the value of it as its GWs set values and they dont like to go against GW.
also double the value of the DR still makes it very powerful. consider morg, hes STR6 with block, mightyblow and comes in at over 400k. doubled deathroller would be 320k and have higher STR and juggernaut instead of block plus stand firm. tbh a DR in DB should be about the price of Morg n thorg, possibly more.

and whilst idea 1 might be a new rule for DB, secret weapons are new rules for DB also. lets be honest DB is a patch over set of rules so having a secret weapon ejected on a 1 when doing blocks etc is not a deal breaker IMO. and its probably the best solution

Or does this mean that in addition of be keeping the 2 ST5 BGs per team, all Secret Weapons will be nerfed too?

No, because there is no link betweens the 2 rules.
