With the various communication issues it's really hard to tell, but given the statement that they're only supporting teams in the CRP, and given that CRP teams cannot add Star Players to their roster, then I'd say it's probably not an issue.

So your guess is as good as mine as to which will actually be used - though in most cases it's the same, unless they're not grouping the positions from the different races together.

That makes me sad, I was really hoping that the Jade Wizards, who use goblins mainly, could have two copies of their secret weapons. Since they get a joke team as their main pick, while other groups will be cheery picking witch elves+black Orcs and the like, It was my hope that I could pull out a double loony chainsaw massacre. Ah well, it was a short-lived dream I suppose.

Please clarify if you're saying that the game will support the original dungeonbowl rules allowing teams to permanently hire Star Players as part of their roster. That's what it sounds like you're saying, though I strongly suspect you didn't mean to imply that at all. Thanks.

I have a couple of questions about the Bright College team roster.
    • Can you field a 0-1 Ogre as part of your 0-16 Human?
    • Can you field a 0-1 Deathroller as part of your 0-6 Dwarf players?
    • Are Dwarf Runners treated as Special, Throwers, or Catchers?
    • Are Norse Runners treated as Special, Throwers, or Catchers?
    • Can you field a 0-1 Snow Troll as part of your 0-2 Norse players?
    • The rules document states "If you can use players that don’t fit into any of these categories (Dark Elf Witch Elves, for example), then you may have up to two of them." Does that mean for each of these categories or is the 0-2 rule applied over the entire team?
    • Can I purchase a Star Player as part of my roster?

Thanks in advance.

Hi Quintia,
I must admit I don't have all the answers yet. But I'll ask to the rosters specialists, and give you the answers as soon as I can. ;)

Ooh, a smiley... we must be about to get some more information.

Don't want to sound entirely negative, but we've been asking the very same questions over and over, wanting to know some more specifics about the rosters... a couple of examples from last week here and here... and from the week before here... and oh look, from the week before that here (question 2). In none of these threads has this been answered. And I'm guessing we'll be getting another college "presented" in the next day or two, and you'll almost certainly get another bunch of questions the same...

People are going to be very interested in this game (I know I was...), but you're really not helping them by the lack of information given out.

Hi again,

Quindia wrote:I have a couple of questions about the Bright College team roster.

Yes
    • Can you field a 0-1 Deathroller as part of your 0-6 Dwarf players?
Yes
    • Are Dwarf Runners treated as Special, Throwers, or Catchers?
    • Are Norse Runners treated as Special, Throwers, or Catchers?
See the answers below
    • Can you field a 0-1 Snow Troll as part of your 0-2 Norse players?
Yes
    • The rules document states "If you can use players that don’t fit into any of these categories (Dark Elf Witch Elves, for example), then you may have up to two of them." Does that mean for each of these categories or is the 0-2 rule applied over the entire team?
This rule doesn't exists in our version (as well as "4 blitzers, 4 runners, etc"). It is replaced by 2 players with the Loner competence max in a team.
    • Can I purchase a Star Player as part of my roster?
Yes but only before the match, in the inducment stage and only for the duration of the match (like in the BB rules).

Thanks in advance.

I hope that answered your questions. :)
