The College of Golden Wizards are fond of gold ; not only for the wealth it brings, but also for the wonderful colour it has. They sponsor the War Hawks – or rather they have the team represent them in the league. Considered by many to be disgustingly rich, many of the Golden Wizards have lost their wealth playing inflated prices charged by people who think they can afford it.

They therefore cannot afford to pay their players large wages, a primary reason why they have to employ an Orc, Chaos Dwarf and Ogre team.
