Nevertheless, no answer from Cyanide but Milly at least tries to be helpful and you throw it back in his face. And he does have certain insights from his time as a Focus admin over on the BB Forums as well as being a generally switched on guy.

Don't get me wrong, I like Milly but when I asked a simple question I expect the person that KNOWS the answer to respond to it. Milly does what Milly does, but that doesn't mean he knows any better than the rest of us. I didn't find the speculation particularly helpful as it really is a yes/no answer and he doesn't know either way. It carries no weight with me unless it comes from a Cyanide employee.

The game will not be Steamworks but you'll be able to enter the game key to add it to your game list and use the Steam features, like for example the chat.
Otherwise, the Steam and non-Steam versions will be exactly the same.

Do you mean that you'll be able to add it to your game list like any other game, or that you'll be able to actually have the game linked to Steam, including automatic patching, etc?

And if you can link it to Steam with your game key, as you suggest, would you still be able to do this after downloading the game normally from your store, or would you not be able to download it from your store if you wanted to attach it to Steam?

Just wanted to fully understand what you mean, because if you can have it both separately and attached to Steam at the same time, that's awesome!

I think its about being able to use the same player key. So if you buy it from cyanide - AND buy it again from steam - you can continue with your already leveled up teams. At least it was in BB:LE so...

What Jolly was saying is that. If you buy it on Steam, it works exactly as any other Steam game.

If you bought and downloaded it on our shop, or pre-ordered it, it does not depend on Steam in any way. But, you can use the "add a non steam game to your library" in Steam and enter you game's key to see Dungeonbowl in your library. And then be able to launch it from steam and use the Steam functionnalities with shift+alt in game.

About auto-patching I'm not sure though. I think it would still have to go through the game's launcher to get auto-update, but on this one, I do no know.
