# of players in a team

:?: So to be clear each team consists of 16 players of which 6 of these 16 players can be of the 2nd race and 2 of the 3rd race?
And BG just count as 1 player?

And only 2 solitary per team.
But the rules must be 2 ST 5 per team I think, no ?

:| Well it is possible that, for example, a Dwarf Blocker could get STR 5 as a LVL increase which would mean that he's either stuck at STR 4 and has to choose a general or double skill instead of the +1 STR increase because he already has 2 STR 5 players in his team (lets say: a Roller and a Norse Werewolf with STR 5).

So I would stick with the limitation of only 2 loners per team.

2 Loners per team, but be aware that 'fling Treemen don't suffer from Loner, so you can potentially have 4 ST6 trees on your team.

It either needs to be restricted to a max of 2 big guys, or the 'fling Treemen should have loner the same as the Elf Treemen.

*hahem8 Stat increases earned via spp's don't count to that rule. What he means is no more than 2 str 5+ players in the starting line up (as any team with flings could field 4(!) big guys should they wish.)

Uhm, with starting line up you mean the 1st time you buy players for your team or the 1st 6 players you can field on the map?

I mean an Ogre team, if they also exist in DB (like in BB:LE), can easily field 4 Ogres with Str 5 and fill up the rest with Snots.
:?: And what about buying several Starplayers who also have STR 5 as inducement?
I've never bought Starplayers myself but they're loners too right? Yet I assume you can still field them with the other 2 loners in your team?

:| Nah, the Trees are already restricted by rooting and their extremely limited MV.
Lets face it a primary 1/2ling team without at least 2 Treemen in their team is completely useless since they simply lack STR skills. And you'll cripple them if their trees get loner too.

 Oh, and Jolly thx for answering my intial question so fast that I had completely missed it.

Well DB is not for Ogre

But you can allow for the khemri and ogre team to pass the rules.

:D The only reason I used the Ogre's as an example is because the Ogres in an BB Ogre team in BB:LE do not suffer from loner like Treemen in a 1/2ling team.
I mean if you are so concerned about STR 5 BG then make sure some of your players have Dauntless.

:?: Why immediately call out for an all out restriction of a minimum of 2 STR 5 players per team?

Because DB is imbalanced enough as is without going outside Jj's rules (although imbalance is part of the fun :P)
